Rashtriya Indian Military College in Dehradun is a prestigious Indian institution that offers education and training programs to prepare its students for service in the National Defense Academy or Indian Armed Forces. To enter 8th grade at this institution, an entrance exam known as the RIMC Exam must first be passed successfully.
At IBPS Academy for Boys between 11-18 years of age, classes VIII and XII are provided to boys between the ages of 11-18. Twice annually, an All India Class VIII exam is conducted to send as many boys as possible to NAVAC/NDA; therefore focusing on providing comprehensive education with personal development as its focus.

Qualifications: Candidates must currently be in Class VII at an accredited institution/school or have completed Class 7 from a recognized school. They should not be born earlier than 02nd January 2011 and not later than 1st July 2012.
Approximately 25 cadets are admitted every six months. Candidates should not be less than 11½ years of age or must not have attained the age of 13 on 01 (Jan) or 01 (July) of the Term they join in. Admissions are made to Class VIII only. The candidate must be studying in Class VII or have passed Class VII from a recognised school at the time of joining. Application forms are to be submitted to the respective State Governments. Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in an All India Entrance Examination held twice a year comprising a written examination of question papers in English (125 Marks),Mathematics (200 Marks) and General Knowledge (75 Marks), Successful candidates are called for Viva-Voce test (50 marks).

Age Restrictions: Candidates must be 11 and 1/2 to 13 years old to be considered for this post.
Only those who pass the written exam will be invited for an interview, with state authorities notifying them by the end of September as to their date, time, and place for this test (pass mark being 50% or above). Interviews will serve to test candidates’ intelligence and personality traits.
Generally, one vacancy per State is allotted. However some States with larger population have up to two vacancies allotted.
Written Examination:- Written Examination The written part of the examination consists of three subjects i.e. English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks), and General Knowledge (75 Marks). A. Maths and General knowledge papers may be answered either in Hindi or in English. To qualify, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 50 % marks in each subject.
Viva Voce:- Viva Voce The oral examination consists of a Viva Voce test of 50 marks, which is designed B. to assess a candidate’s intelligence, personality and confidence. The minimum passing marks will be 50%.
Medical Examination:- Medical Examination All the candidates, qualified after interview, will undergo a medical examination at selected Military Hospital and only those candidates found C. medically fit, will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC. Medical Examination of the candidates forms only a part of the system of selection and does not guarantee the final selection.

Annual Charges at RIMC are heavily subsidized by the Central Government. As of now, annual charges total Rs. 10,000; however this may change from time to time. A Security Deposit in the amount of Rs. 1,000 must also be submitted with your annual charges for your security deposit account at RIMC.
